Meet Dr. Page Eaker
Page Eaker (rhymes with Baker) has experience working with children, adolescents and young adults to treat anxiety, mood, behavior and adjustment concerns. She has specialized in providing services to individuals with acute or chronic medical conditions, including cystic fibrosis, HIV, diabetes, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, headaches, chronic pain, obesity, cancer, craniofacial anomalies, sickle cell disease, functional neurological disorders and more.
Dr. Eaker can help to improve overall well-being by addressing behavioral, emotional, physical and social functioning both individually and as they relate to one another. Therapy is a collaborative process where patients and their families work together with Dr. Eaker to achieve treatment goals. She primarily uses behavioral and cognitive-behavioral strategies throughout therapy depending on what is most appropriate for the individual.
Dr. Eaker is a licensed psychologist in North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then went on to complete her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Florida. Dr. Eaker’s predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship specializing in pediatric psychology were completed at the Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Eaker has worked in children’s hospitals and outpatient medical specialty clinics, as well as in pediatric primary care.
